OG Bespoke Stockholm was started by an architect and a cabinet maker who wanted to make furniture using traditional methods - by hand, from high quality raw materials and with care taken over every detail.

Oliver Thornton is an architect who has designed and built across Europe, and been shortlisted for major architectural awards. He approaches furniture the same way he approaches buildings — with a belief that quality in the craft of making matters as much as how an object looks.

Göran Tillbom is a cabinet maker with a workshop in Älvsjö in southern Stockholm. He trained in fine carpentry and has spent years working with wood — understanding how it moves, how it ages, and what it takes to make something that genuinely lasts.

Together they design and build each piece themselves, occasionally working with other trusted craftspeople — for upholstery, leather and metalwork — when the design calls for it.

What we believe

Wood is at its best when it's solid, locally sourced and allowed to show its character. We use timber from Scandinavian forests where we can, and we avoid veneers.

Our joinery is classical and honest — mortise and tenon, half lap, dovetail. No shortcuts. The joints are part of what you're buying.

We're drawn to simplicity. The interest is in the material, the proportion and the making — not in surface decoration.

The workshop is in Stockholm. Commissions are welcome from anywhere.
